Water Fowl Migration

During water fowl Fall migration, the Huntsville Botanical Garden lakes offer several species of ducks a safe shelter and food source. This past week two pair of Gadwalls visited Little Smith Lake and were easy to view at close range from the Nichols Terrace near the Nature Center.  Mornings are the best time for viewing water fowl before the Garden becomes active with visitors.
