Birding Ecuador - Hummingbirds

In November 2019 Terry and I joined two close friends for a fifteen day birding tour in northern Ecuador. We visited ten birding sites that included commercial lodges and private sites known to our guide. Our travels transversed altitudes between 8,000 to 13,000 feet. Ecuador holds the world record for the highest number of hummingbird species, 132, representing 40% of the world’s species.
