Black Bear Encounter - Asheville, NC
/Black Bear encounters have increased over the last five years in the Beaver Dam area of Asheville, NC. On Sunday evening, 5 July, a mother Black Bear and her two cubs visited the garden behind my mother's-in-law house on Gibson Dr. The bear family lingered in the garden for about 30 minutes then wandered off into the dense woods along a ravine behind the house. The bird bath seemed to be the main attraction.
